These wheel adapters are a simple, safe way to move your wheels out away from the body. They bolt on the original studs, then provide new studs which the wheel attaches to. These are 1.25" thick which is thicker than most factory wheel studs. If you do find yours extend past the surface of the wheel spacers you will need to:
- Shorten the factory studs
- Have wheels which have open slots (cavities) between mounting holes
- Purchase a set of shorter studs and install them in place of the factory studs
They have large 74mm center openings which is larger than most factory hubs. They are not hub-centric however, so you will want to be sure there is plenty of contact surface on the wheel studs for your lug nuts. We offer extended-reach lug nuts to help with this but your wheels must be machined from the factory to accept them. The bolt pattern is the common Ford/Mercury 5 x 4.5" which is also sometimes expressed as 5 x 114.3mm or 5 x 115mm.
